In the last quarter of 2004 the Eula Volunteer Fire Department was awarded two grants for new firetrucks.
The first grant came from the Federal Emergency Management Association which is a part of the Department of Homeland Defense. This grant is for a large firetruck to cost $125,000, of which the Eula VFD is responsible for 10%. (truck 601)
The second grant came from the State of Texas. This grant is administered by the Texas Forest Service. With this money we are able to purchase a small firetruck to cost $60,000, of which the Eula VFD is responsible for 10%. (truck 602)
